2018 ORPF Championships

Congratulations to The APU Team who represented Australia to compete at 2018 ORPF Championships on The Gold Coast on 24th – 25th November 2018.

81 lifters from 9 Oceania countries took part in this inaugural Oceania Regional Powerlifting Championships sanctioned by The IPF.

Represented by 29 lifters, Australia brought home 20 Gold (Overall).

Some highlights from AU Team;

  • The first world record at the 2018 ORPF CHAMPIONSHIP set by Rachel Jones, Junior squat world record of 154 kg in the -57kg class.
    Rachel also set Junior total world record of 396.5 kg in the -57kg weight class.
  • Ewan Belgrove hits a 700 kg Sub-Junior total world record with his powerful deadlift.
    Ewan also set Sub-Junior squat world record of 290 kg in the -83kg weight class.
  • Nathan Tanis becomes the first man to squat over 300kg RAW at -83kg body weight.
    Nathan set Open squat world record 305 kg.
